On Saturday 3 October 2020, on a cold autumn evening, the screening of seven short films among the works of the best Iranian filmmakers took place at the New Armenia Association in Milan. In the first part of the program, Mohammad Reza Nouri on behalf of the Nostalgia Film Festival gave a brief explanation on how the idea of ​​the Festival was born, spoke about the activity of the Festival last year, the method of selecting the films, and the impossibility to hold the Festival this year. The Festival will be held next year with the participation of the New Armenia Association. In the second part, Claudio Zito, one of the greatest critics of Iranian cinema in Italy, gave a brief speech on Iranian cinema, on the prominent directors of Iranian cinema, on the topic of new generation films and Iranian intellectual cinema. It is worth mentioning that he recently wrote a book entitled “Visions of contraband. The unstoppable cinema of Jafar Panahi “on Jafar Panahi, the famous director of Iranian cinema. After the screening of Iranian short films with Italian subtitles, the evening continued in the bar next to the garden until midnight with the warm and friendly presence of all the guests.
